Private Equity Fund
The objective of Bonitás Private Equity Fund is to acquire at least majority ownership in and further develop companies that are profitable and stable, and are related to the industries in which Bonitás Group is represented.
Investment criteria:
- Profitable, mature, well-established companies
- Based in Hungary
- Experienced and committed management
- Industry focus: mainly food, agri-food, health, circular economy, machinery related to these industries
- Size: minimum turnover of HUF 500 million

Bonitás Venture Capital Fund II
The Bonitás Venture Capital Fund II (KTA II) was established in July 2018 with a subscribed capital of HUF 12.15 billion, operating under the GINOP-8.1.3/B-17 Smart Specialisation Venture Capital Programme, largely funded by the European Union. The product is called Credit Risk Capital Fund II.
The KTA II. In the range of HUF 200-1,500 million, you can invest in projects with headquarters in an EEA member state and a location in Hungary, except for the Central Hungary region, in the range of HUF 200-1,500 million. The KTA II. its term lasts until 31st December, 2029. Investment policy follows a generalist approach, i.e. there are no sectoral constraints.
Although KTA II pays special attention to agricultural innovation, it prioritises advanced medical and instrumental therapies, early diagnosis, clinical methods, drug research and development, the development of innovative healthcare solutions, advanced vehicle and other mechanical technologies, solutions within the sectors of clean and renewable energy, the development of advanced environmental technologies, the research and development of locally produced and processed high value-added foods, and info-communication technologies.
The focus of our investment activities is, on the one hand, on already established SMEs on the market with proven high growth prospects, but KTA II also has a strong interest in innovative projects that are in the product development/MVP phase, or that have already completed that and are in process of entering the market and are well suited for international expansion.

Bonitás Venture Capital Fund I
Bonitas Venture Capital Fund I (Bonitás Kockázati Tőkealap I, KTA I) was established in March 2013 with a share capital of HUF 6.5 billion and operates within the framework of the GOP-2009-4.3/2 New Hungary Venture Capital Programs Common Fund sub-program.
KTA I invested in projects, with a maximum investment of EUR 2.5 million, that are based in an EEA member state with a site in Hungary. The planned term of KTA I is until 2023, the investment period ended on 31 May 2016.
KTA I’s investment activities focused primarily on already operating companies that are in the growth phase and have a unique and innovative product or service that can generate significant growth.
KTA I’s investment portfolio includes industrial investments, technological innovations, engineering teams capable of generating high added value, industrial raw materials and technology companies specializing in waste management, in addition to IT-type projects that are popular for VC investments.
